BC 2014: Construction Principles I

C. Jacob Brown is a sophomore Building Construction student at Virginia Tech. In the summer of 2008, he interned with Harrod & Associates Constructors, a general contractor in Raleigh, NC. His main duties included assisting estimators with bids, distributing plans and specs to subcontractors, and attending pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. He hopes to draw on his experience and apply it to this course.

Jacob is an active member of CMAA (Construction Management Association of America) VT Student Chapter. Also, in October 2008, he plans to compete in the ASC (Associated Schools of Construction) Region 2 Student Competition along with five teammates from VT. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and playing golf.
