Team Charter

 

TEAM PURPOSE

    Our Team charter describes the reason our team exists. It captures both the big picture and the practical purpose our team has for working together.

Vision

The vision for our team describes our long term, big picture for how the world will be a better place if our team does what it intends to do.
  • We as a team envision a future as professionals devoted to making a difference in the construction industry.

Mission

   The mission of our team describes specifically how the work done by our team will help to acheive the vision we described above. 
  • Our mission is to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to complete the tasks in this class and apply them to our future careers.

Objectives

  • Maintain good communication among team members
  • Complete all assignments on time
  • Conduct efficient team meetings
  • Develop and improve construction skills and knowledge
  • Strive for superiority and distinction

    Decision Rules

    • When a disagreement arises at a group meeting, it will be decided by a majority vote of the group (3/5)
    • All work will be divided evenly and fairly. Any member who does not complete their responsibilities, will face a consequence and the rest of the team must take on the additional work
    • Final product must be reviewed and approved by each team member before submittal

     Team Capabilities

        This team brings together a variety of skills and experience related to Building Construction. Two members have office experience from summer internships. One member has worked in the field for over 14 months including concrete, framing, and carpentry. Computer skills include training and certification in Autodesk software. We hope to incorporate every team member's background to complete our goals.

    Strategies for Addressing Weaknesses

    • We plan to implement a collective Team Calender to address the time management problem.  
    • Team members with more advanced computer skills will cater to the needs of team members with less advanced computer skills.
