This wall system consists of a light gauge steel frame, insulation, sheathing, and other components that enable it to serve as a structural system in a house.

While interior walls of structures can also be framed using steel, this analysis focuses specifically on exterior load-bearing walls that serve as an interface between the outside environment and the interior of the building.
