Fall '08 Team 11 Charter

Team Purpose:

  • Vision- We envision establishing a firm foundation for which we can expand our knowledge during our college tenure as well as our professional future.

 

  • Mission- Our mission is to culminate the separate skill sets of the individuals within our team to create an efficient and cooperative team, working towards a common goal.

 

  • Objectives- Our objective is to diligently work, share the burdens of the assignments, to effectively communicate our knowledge and achieve an exceptional grade of an A.

Attending group meetings on time, as well as meeting group expectations.

  • Relgularly late for group meetings

 

1st time  - Free Pass

2nd time - Verbal Warning  

3rd time - Written Warning

4th time -  Given a poor peer  evaluation grade from group

5thtime - Talk to Professor; No name on current project

  • Absent without notification

1st time  - Free Pass

2nd time - Verbal Warning  

3rd time - Written Warning

4th time -  Given a poor peer  evaluation grade from group

5thtime - Talk to Professor; No name on current project

  • Unprepared for group meetings

1st time  - Free Pass

2nd time - Verbal Warning  

3rd time - Written Warning

4th time -  Given a poor peer  evaluation grade from group

5thtime - Talk to Professor; No name on current project

 

Consequence Terms:

  • Free Pass- Let it pass the first time
  • Verbal Warning- Spoken to about their unacceptable behavior
  • Written Warning- Documentation of the unacceptable behavior
  • Poor Evaluation- Given low scores for lack of productivity
  • Talk with Professor/No name on project- Problem with group member brought to attention of professor and name of that group member will not be put on the current project that the team is working on

 

Decision Rules:

  • Division of Work:
    • Chosen/given to person with related skills or personal interest
    • Partners are allowed
    • Make sure that one is capable of accomplishing the task they choose
  • Decisions on Technical Approach
    • Group Consensus
    • If group consensus cannot be reached, majority vote wins
  • Decision on Final Submittals
    • Group Consensus
    • If group consensus cannot be reached, majority vote wins
    • There are no doubts in the final product
    • Supported by accurate information

 

Capabilities:

Each member of our team supplies a valuable asset which will produce a successful project.  Although equipped with different skills and experiences in the commercial and residential aspects of the industry, our team is able to overcome obstacles that conflict with our goal of completing a job.  With exceptional communication skills accompanied with our desire to work hard, we are able to acheive our goals in an efficient manner.
